An outline proposal for an Open Day ‘Fringe Fest 2020’ for all BTG societies to be held in Hayes Village Hall on Saturday 27 June 2020.

Aims:

  • To raise funds for the annual full length play festival
  • To raise public awareness of the BTG amateur dramatic societies
  • To recruit new members to the BTG societies

Proposed framework for the day (specific timings TBA):

  • Morning – societies set up/man their publicity stands
  • Afternoon – matinee performances of societies’ ‘fringe acts’
  • Evening – evening performances of societies’ ‘fringe acts’
  • Paying bar from mid-day – BYO food

Lead up:

  • Election of organising sub committee
  • Publicity – BTG, HVA, societies’ etc websites; HVA Review, display banners, programmes etc; celebrity presence
  • Tickets for matinee/evening performances bookable through BTG Box Office
  • Grand Raffle – societies invited to find raffle prizes and or sponsors
  • Societies invited to contribute 5, 10, 15 or 20 min ‘fringe acts’ for matinee/evening performances ‘in the round/on stage’
  • Band(s) performing outside Hayes Village Hall to attract ‘passing trade’

All society representatives are respectfully requested to attend the next BTG committee meeting at the Ripley Centre Thursday 14 November 8.00 pm to discuss and commence planning the above proposal.
